Getting way too many exile sweepers in Standard. Time for some creatures with "this creature cannot be exiled" stapled on them. I've lost count of how many sweepers are in Standard right now, its too many.

Margaret Thatcher: ¡°The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.¡±
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

I'm surprised they haven't played with a "if this would be exiled put it into the graveyard instead" style effect.

That's kinda niche, but could make sense. There is Misthollow Griffin and the God-eternals.
In general, though, I think there shouldn't be too many ways around exile - we don't need the destroy/protect arms race to force the creation of the absolutely-removed-from-the-freaking-game-forever-zone.

I can see why that could lead to what you described, but playing around with different "If X instead do Y" iterations is far more interesting to me. The very fact it hasn't been done yet is always surprising to me, just like a wall/defender creature that can block anything no matter what ability the attacking creature has.
Personally, I think graveyard protection needs this sort of thing as cards like Ground Seal don't really do anything if your entire graveyard is exiled. Graveyard hosers are so many that it makes some sense that protection from exile would have to occur eventually.

Would be nice wouldn't it?
For every threat or sweeper there should be an answer (or answers) to it that isn't a counterspell.

Their design philosophy for the past almost fifteen years has been that large game changing effects should matter and shouldn't have easy answers unless they're creatures (which is why so many great effects are on creatures). It's why they've reduced hexproof and regeneration among others. I doubt we're gonna see them change this philosophy because then it's an arms race of the sideboard or niche cards in the main board to counter effects of other effects.

I think "If this would be exiled from the battlefield, instead it isn't" or "Instead, you lose 1 life" or something would be interesting, although it'd have to be costed around Food Chain or other things like that, I wouldn't make it a 1-3 mana card. But it would be neat to have creatures that can't be hit by exile
