Nahiri's Warcraft1RR
Sorcery (Rare)
Nahiri's Warcraft deals 5 damage to target creature, planeswalker or battle. Look at the top X cards of your library, where X is the excess damage dealt this way. You may exile one of those cards. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in random order. You may play the exiled card until the end of turn. (anyone know what the flavor text says?)
Burn plus excess damage-based card filtering seems super useful. I think a good alternate art would be taken from the story when Nahiri joins Lukka as Ajani cuts Sheoldred's head off, because that might be one of the more likely uses for this in Standard.
for 3 mana, chances you're actually casting something from the exiled cards with this isn't very real until super late game.
seems like most of the time you're just hoping for lands.
and in super late game you're most likely hiting sonmething without all that much excess damage to spare... so, yeah
if it was straight up 3 mana deal 5 damage, draw a card, it would be a lot better, I think.

Agree, this is why I'd rather take the instant-speed Rebel Salvo or the 2-mana Obliterating Bolt in Standard. If this card let you cast the card until the next turn it would have been a different story, but it's not too exciting as it stands, if you find yourself hitting a 2/2 with your 3-mana sorcery with mana to spare casting more stuff you're probably going to lose anyway.

I don't think powercreep has quite gotten to where they'll print that yet.
